In this case, time-consuming and expensive repairing is needed to restore the functionality of the post press system. In the worst case, the machines are damaged to such an extent that repair is not possible and the customer has to invest in new equipment.

With RIMA-SYSTEM’s preventive maintenance and remanufacturing service of all installed post press systems, the risk of defects causing downtime is significantly minimized. With regular upkeep of the finishing equipment, RIMA-SYSTEM technicians can identify possible sources of problems and replace worn parts at an early stage. The efficiency and run-ability of existing equipment is increased by replacing old parts and the risk of down-time is reduced. A high amount of waste paper and expensive repairing of broken wear parts will no longer be an issue as well.

A RIMA-SYSTEM technician inspects the equipment on-site and advises the customer which parts should be replaced or what maintenance working is required. Minor repairs can be done on-site while major repairs or the complete disassembly of the machine will take place at one of RIMA-SYSTEM’s manufacturing facilities. Besides the full inspection of the machines, the remanufacturing service also includes the replacement of damaged bearings as well as all defective belts and guards. To ensure the maximum performance after remanufacturing, all overhauled machines must pass a final inspection. The machine is not returned to the customer before a performance threshold is achieved.
